Geoffrey Chaucer

He lived in 14th century. He was writer and he wrote the book „The Canterbury Tales“. This are stories by pilgrims. In the Middle Ages pilgrims in England travelled to Canterbury Cathedral. It was a long journey the pilgrims told each other stories.
Three young men were in an Inn. They looked out of the people carrying coffin. „Who is dead?“ they asked. „Every day death kills somebody in that village.“ Three men met old man. They asked old man:,, Where is Death?“ Old man ansvered:,, In the forest by very large old oak.“ They went to forest. They found the oak and there was big bag of gold under it. They waited for night. One of them went to the village for food. The other two wanted the gold for themselves and killed the youngest man. But he poisoned the food and all threemen were dead under the oak
